How can we find out if numbers are bigger or smaller? This video shows us how to compare three-digit numbers. We can find out which number is greater or less by comparing the hundreds place to the hundreds place. If those are the same, then look next door at the tens place. A place value chart can help to organize numbers and see which is greater. We can use the greater than or less than symbols (remember the alligator) when comparing numbers. Luckily, these alligators don’t bite!
