Now you see me, now you don’t – contractions

We are going to learn so much together today, are we not? Hmm, do you not think that sentence sounds a little silly? Wait, so does that one! That's because when speaking and writing, we tend to use contractions. Contractions are words that have been pushed together to make new, shorter words. 'Are not' becomes aren't, and 'do not' becomes don't. We use a little apostrophe to show where the letters are that we're replacing... Hey, I used a contraction! I think I'm getting the hang of this, don't you?
